Performance Fitness Concepts has been a worldwide leader of nutritional counseling for the past 33 years. Within that time our client analysis has shown us that NONE of the popular "diet" programs have worked, in actuality these diets did more harm than good making them feel "broken" and inadequate. Truly, it is not we who are inadequate, but the information we are currently being taught about nutrition, weight management, and exercise. As a nation, we have been misled by faulty premises reported as weight-loss "science" in the media, by misinformation about what kinds of foods are "good" for us and what kinds are "bad", and by diet gurus who have been telling us that one-size-fits-all food plans are the answer to our individual nutritional needs. The truth is: Each one of us is metabolically unique. That is why most popular diets fail their one-size-fits-all approach ignores the fact that everyone does not utilize fats, proteins, and carbohydrates with the same amount of efficiency. Only when people eat and exercise for their own metabolisms will they see remarkable and permanent results in the areas of weight loss, energy levels, and overall health.
Our experts at PFC teach you how to identify your specific metabolic type and to dynamically fuel it for weight loss, greater health, increased performance levels, and healthful longevity.
Our program will teach you how to energize your every waking hour and develop vibrant and long-lasting health. It will show you how to use nutrition to avoid and prevent illnesses such as diabetes (which has increased 33 percent in the last decade), heart disease, and atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries. It will explain the importance of proper hydration and how drinking enough water daily helps to keep your metabolic thermostat at the right "temperature" so that your body will not hoard fat. It will show you how to exercise safely and effectively, according to the needs of your specific metabolism.
Once you have learned how to eat and exercise according to your metabolic type, you will never again have to live hungry, controlled by calorically restricted food regimens. As you discover how to satisfy your nutritional needs, you will experience the freedom of not being ruled by food cravings and the need to binge. You will learn the science of making food work for you as an ally, not as an adversary, supplying your body with the fuel it needs to perform at its highest level. Most important, you will discover how to own your food choices and experience life at your personal best!
This Metabolism Can More Efficiently Utilize Fats and proteins than carbohydrates, creating a physique that is naturally strong.
This group easily digests and utilizes carbohydrates, creating a physique that has a tremendous endurance capacity.
This third type has the very special ability to utilize all three nutrients-fat, protein, and carbohydrate-with equal ease, creating a physique that equally combines both strength and endurance.
Congratulations! Embracing the world of nutrition is a gratifying and uniquely personal journey. One that should reflect your lifestyle and goals, so it only makes sense that your metabolic approach should also reflect your individuality. Our philosophy is one size does not fit all. Optimize your health, develop an extraordinary sense of well-being and be the best you can be.
The closer you come to your optimum metabolic performance the more fat you will burn, even while your body is idle at work! Let PFC create a program for you to achieve the most results with the least amount of effort.
We at Performance Fitness Concepts believe in providing a proactive integrative approach to the treatment of numerous illnesses combining conventional techniques with metabolic alternatives.
At PFC we consider all physiological and psychological aspects of anorexia and its disordered eating patterns. After detailed evaluation, weekly food programs are initiated and appropriate psychological support and strategies are established.
Our disorder bulimic concerns are built around issues of control, self- loathing, and physique dysmorphia. Food patterns are metabolically established to support a rebalancing of appetite, cravings, fatigue, and digestion.
At PFC we treat Chronic Fatigue not as a symptom of other auto-immune disorders but as a stand-alone disorder. Recommended foods are built around strategies of tissue repair, consistent energy patterning, and reduction of inflammation.
Our primary goal at PFC in treating ulcerative colitis is to help regulate the immune system better. While there is no known cure and flare ups may recur, a combination of proper nutrition, supplementation and hydration will alleviate symptoms and reoccurrence so you can help stay in control of your disease and lead a full and rewarding life.
This disease is an ongoing digestive disorder associated with the inflammation of the digestive track. Our proprietary program manages Crohn's through an anti-inflammatory, metabolically typed nutritional protocol. Nutrition and hydration are of first and foremost importance where supplementation may be an additional part of our nutritional therapy.
Diabetes adversely affect proper sugar metabolism. We at PFC use A1C and Lipid profile evaluation to determine sugar sensitive's and appropriate daily meal patterns. The nutritional protocols we prescribe are dynamic and shift weekly to help support energy metabolism and proper weight management.
These addictions can severely damage metabolism. Our goal is to create food patterns that support mood stabilization and the reduction of cravings that would promote a desire to drink and or drug use. All of these nutritional protocols are metabolically identified through the use of lipid profile testing, hydration, exercise patterning and proper supplementation.
Our proprietary metabolic treatment of Esophageal Reflux or GERD is a nutritional adjustment that supports a choicing of low inflammatory foods, low acidic foods, no yeast, no mold, no gluten and no dairy all within an acceptable tolerance of lifestyle.
Here at Performance Fitness Concepts IBS management is controlled by the extensive use of an IBS list of appropriate food choices. These foods are then inserted into a customized metabolically appropriate daily and weekly food pattern.
Lupus symptoms and treatment vary from one person to another. Our Goal at PFC is to design and customize a proprietary program that will reduce muscular pain, suppress your overactive immune system and prevent flare ups. We do that by controlling indicators through the use of foods that naturally reduce inflammation, buffer the buildup of lactate, improve muscular strength and promote tissue repair.
Just how good are we? We'll let our clients Journeys speak for themselves.
